🎥 BEING IMPOSSIBLE 🎥
Let's imagine a baby is born. He is naked and has something different ...
We cannot answer the question that everyone asks when we are born:
Is she a girl or a boy? What happens when we cannot define someone physically as male or female? Why do we only have these two options? And ... why do we have to decide?
This is the heart of Yo, Impossible and this is its story:
A religious seamstress loses her virginity. Penetration is a knife that tears her and makes her suspect that something is wrong with her body. Only the arrival of a woman who removes her sexuality will lead her to discover the truth: she was born with ambiguous genitalia, and, being just a baby, she underwent with the endorsement of her mother several normalization surgeries to turn her into a woman.
This truth will confront her with a challenge: continue to be a socially accepted but oppressed woman, or decide to be a free and inconvenient intersex and face the moral judgment of society.
"Yo, Imposible is a story that talks about the search for identity. Like hundreds of children who have had normalization surgeries in my country (Venezuela) and like so many other people in the world who have experienced the same thing and want to tell their stories. Like you, like me ... Because finding ourselves, being ourselves, is the toughest battle we have to face every day."
